June 18, 2009. pre market thoughts
China is letting foreign owned companies have some ownership in the media space???? HMMM... That’s what I thought as I was speaking to my partner in Beijing. He said B Man. I am way ahead of the game.
He has been living between HK and Beijing for the last 5 years. He looks for deals potentially fund and do an APO on the NASDAQ but it’s been very slow since last year. Almost dead.
Then I thought Wow. Jack what happens if you piss off the Gov? He said. “O I just disappear”
I have been going to China 2 to 4 times a year for a while now. And For a minute I thought like him.
O You just vanish. Or take you out and shoot you. LOL
I must admit. Living over there for as long as my partner has now seems to bee sinking into his Forget your Rights part of his brain.
I have been thinking about how I can capitalize from it. And I can and might consider doing 1/3 of what I am thinking of doing. He we all know the Chinese Gov is great. RIGHT?
I mean what’s the difference between communism and Capitalism? ONE PARTY.
That’s it ONE PARTY. They have One we have two parties Reps and Demos. But when both parties over here have raped and pillage they defend each other and stop the usual jousting.
Bottom line is a politician, a drug dealer, and stock brokers all have the same type of work.
They are bottom feeders, Lie for a living and will pick your pockets blind.
But hey what do I know. Use to be a stockbroker. Gov of dis beautiful state of CALLLI LIIFORNIA.
Time for raw eggs and a workout before the work days starts of lies and deceit.
I am going for a media comp in China. Worst that can happen. I can go back over to find companies in need of growth capital. Heck I am already ahead of the game. I am heading to Vietnam this summer to look at 3 mid size deals.
Futures are going to be swinging today. Should be volatile
Suckers SJM 43.64, +0.55, said a few mins ago $94 million, 80 cents a share, in Q4. In the same period a year ago it earned $37 million, .67 EPS in Q4 08 Gross sales were up due to the folders deal.
Million dollar questions. How much is factored in? Wait and see. I say when its summer and half of the pros are on vacation. Wait for a bounce and go short. Cover in Aug when all of Europe is on vacation and markets are thin.
MRIB Marani brands what disaster that is. To bad one can’t short it legally or can they.
Consider building a short position until after the July 4th holiday.
Roth Capital Partners and other Asian transactions are picking up. Very good for Chinese comps traded in the US. Will be very hot next year I think.
More coming soon.
